Meet Me By The Squirrel Tree

I've done this illustration quite a while ago but it still remains one of my favorites. I was inspired by a similar tree I saw in someone's garden. I immediately got an image in my head of small animals and birds using this tree as a meeting point. It just seemed like a brilliant landmark :)

The illustration is made with acrylics on watercolor paper. I've got a print in my Etsy shop TinyRed

Funnily enough my Dad has this print above his desk at work. He is a very busy software developer and he told me once that he often feels like the little hedgehog in the picture, a bit squashed, ha! Whenever the pressure gets too high, he looks at the print and apparently it lifts his mood :)
